We are all artists at Flatiron Elementary!

Hello Flatiron Families! I am the new art teacher, Mrs. Emily. I am so excited to spend this year making all kinds of beautiful artwork with your kids!

We have already gotten off to a great start, learning about line, texture, markmaking, and starting on our first “surrealist” drawing! Kindergrarten is learning line types and soon we will start the color wheel!

Exciting projects lie ahead and I hope to post some of it here on this page as the year progresses. We have a VERY talented population at Flatirons and I can’t wait to see what the kids create.
